Alexander Adelabu, known professionally as Magixx, has officially released his highly anticipated debut album, “Dream in Color.” This 13-track project offers listeners an intimate glimpse into the artist’s world, exploring themes of family dynamics, overcoming betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of a greater purpose.
Magixx envisions “Dream in Color” as more than just a collection of songs; he hopes it will serve as a source of inspiration and strength for listeners navigating their own life journeys. “I want this album to be remembered as something that helped people through the course of their lives,” Magixx stated. “Something that gave people hope, something that changed people’s lives… For me, it’s a testament to preaching positivity.”
The album is a carefully constructed body of work, with each track intentionally crafted to contribute to the overall narrative. “‘Dream in Color’ simply means I dream big,” Magixx explains, emphasizing his aspirations for “greater lights, the stadiums, the accolades, the reach, the global domination.”
Leading up to the album release, Magixx dropped “Winter & Summer,” the album’s fifth track, as the first single of the year. This song delves into the complexities of love, heartbreak, and the lingering pain of lost connections, effectively foreshadowing the emotional depth found throughout the project.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Magixx expressed the profound significance of this album: “This is more than music, it’s my heart, my journey, my truth. A story of resilience, love, and dreams that refuse to fade. A story for me, for you, and for generations to come.” He also extended his gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support.
